I live in a place in Canada where the prices for Larrivees are well.. Ridiculous.. Whats more my local dealer said if he did a special order there is essentially no return policy..
I'm interested in the L03E.. I'm no pro so this guitar is beyond my abilities, its my holy grail.. The LV03, L05 and D03's i've tried while on business trips is allowing me to entertain the idea of getting one and having it shipped.. They have great sound (especially bass) and just ooze quality.
So i'm looking to see if anyone has a preferred "Canadian" internet dealer for Larrivee.
Things that are important..
1) good return policy
2) supportive in getting it setup correctly
3) good pricing
Thanks in advance for the input..

Agreed, great folks!
Here's my hometown store. Nice people. Best collection of guitars, especially Larrivées, in the area and better than Montreal or Ottawa from my experience.

Where do you live Rem? Do you not have a Long & McQuade near you?
I live in NB. No long and Mcquade..
I checked out the 12thFret.. They seem good.. Thanks for that!
Anyone have poor experiences with them? Anything I should watch out for??
Thanks for all the replies, it does help..
Twelfth Fret is a great place. They're real straight-shooters. As with all Canadian retailers, though, don't expect a huge discount off the Cdn. list price.
I've bought several guitars from them shipped to the USA. No problems. Good people.

+1 on that.
I'm next door, in NS. Welcome to the Forum, rem!
12th Fret - I've bought several guitars from them (dealt with them since 1992) and every experience has been positive and I felt that a fair deal was dealt!
Another good store is Folkway Music - bought one guitar from them (used) and was satisfied with the deal.

If you live near Moncton, you can check out Musicstop. That is where I purchased my D-03 and they are a pretty good bunch to deal with. I was there a couple of weeks ago, but they didn't have any Larrivee's in stock (not even sure if they are still carrying that line). But they did have a Bourgeois Country Boy that now has drool all over it from me!!! Man, was it sweet!! The set up was high but the sound was incredible! Anyway, I am getting carried away...... I will also add my vote to dealing the David Wren at The 12th Fret in T.O. Bought my Collings there and they are a top notch store, perhaps the best anywhere.
Good luck in your search, I am sure you will find that Larrivee of your dreams!

I should have mentioned that Music World here in Thunder Bay doesn't have the greatest up to date website but they do have Larrivées. At least ten or twelve every time I'm there.
12th Fret is a GREAT store! I made a special trip to TO while I was in Ontario last summer just to see it. You have to make it a whole day thing... by the time I got across TO traffic, I only had a half an hour in the store. That's not enough time!
I played an amazing '72 Martin D-18. I'm kicking myself for not snapping it up. Tons of great sounding Larrivees, Collings, Breedlove, Martin, Santa Cruz etc.
