I should get it UPS today. Traded my Gibson Nick Lucas.
Will report back in a couple days. :)
Well did you get it yet???How about a review.I never had a chance to hear one would love to to hear about it.
I'm falling head over heels for this wonderful guitar. High grade cedar top, (gloss finish) rosewood binding, mahogany neck, highly figured tasmanian blackwood sides and back, ebony facing on slotted headstock, ebony bridge, bridge pins, neck.
1 3/4 in. at nut...cutaway. Rossette and stripe down back is herringbone. Invisible pickguard.
Simple, elegant good looks. Comfy to hold and play.
Sound: nice sustain but with clear definition between notes. High, mid, and bass do not drown each other out, or require you to hit one harder than the rest to get a balanced sound.
This guitar has found a home here in SoCal....and I'm a proud owner. Unclrob, wish you could play it.
Wanna see? it's the one on the right...pics in this forum's trading post.....bernfu (This guy was honest and fair, I'll attest).
Non players wouldn't understand the pure excitement of acquiring a fine instrument. But WE DO...RIGHT?
;)
Ebony fingerboard...not neck. sorry.
Whoops...messed up one other thing....ACOUSTIC GUITAR FORUM: Trading Post. Last post on thread: "Help - Too many guitars"
Does the term DAM nice looker, mean anything.I kinda wish I new about the Blackwood sooner, really nice toneful wood, great overtones, nice note seperation but I'm preaching to the choir here.I'm looking at a Larrivee D09 Blackwood we have in shop, haven't own a dread in ages, but Hmmm <_< Enjoy the new friend.
How do you like the slotted headstock. In the shop we call these bleeder stocks, always seem to prick a finger once or twice when changing strings. :o
I've only put one set of strings on so far....man, what an ordeal. I hope I do a better job next time.
Pics?
