Oh its not that bad :GRN>
It's up there...
And the dude played that in Church?
Wow. :SHK> ...i've seen some pretty ugly gibsons before... but i think this one takes the cake. There 'otta be a law against something like that :POL>
It's not easy being green!!! :WNK>
The dark green isn't too bad. Better than banana yellow. The abalone pickguard sort of throws it over the top, but the owner added it and not the Gibson factory.

Great Song Denis, played it at my wedding. I don't know what version I like better Van Morrisons or Kermits.

When did Van Morrison record that?
I was 2 when Sesame Street had it's debut. I was obviously a big Kermit fan and have known the lyrics to that song by heart for a long time! I like Ernie too. Rubber Ducky, you're the one, you make bath time lots of fun...

Van recorded it on his 1973 album "Hard Nose the HIghway", Great album by the way.
I google it and found that it was written by Jim Raposo for Kermit (Jim Henson) on Sesame Street in March 1970.
Ernie and Kermit are my favorites as well

Raposo wrote almost all the original tunes for Sesame Street back in the late 60's early 70's. There were some great tunes.
I'm not familiar with Hard Nose to the Highway. My favorite Van Morrison album by far is Moondance. I bought that album back in the days of vinyl and bought it specifically for the title track but ended up loving the album from one end to the other. Not one bad track to be found on that one. One of my "desert island" picks for sure.
Up there with Led Zep IV, Miles Davis - Kind of Blue, The Who - Who's Next, Beatles - Revolver...etc
I kind of like the color, but the pickguard is way over the top. The bridge doesn't do a lot for me either.
O yes to get back to the thread, I agree with Mazareth, like the color but the pickguard is a little over the top.

I thought Kermit played a banjo, was this his old axe of something? :GRN>

I really dont think it's Ugly, I agree the pickguard is just ridiculous. I think the pickguard really pushed it over the edge. But then again ugly is in the eye of the beholder, there are people who thinks the d'aquistos have ugly headstocks. :UND>
Here is one dude that think everything not standard is ulgy. I think all 'cept for like 2 guitars there are works of art

Point is that Gibson is not bad at all. You want ugly, try this one.

everything here looks ugly...
as for the gibson... the green is kinda teetering on the ledge... the pickguard and bridge pins are the 'friend' who runs up and pushes it over the edge thinking its funny...
Makes the Gibby looks pretty darn good.
