I recently built an electric out of bubinga and am curious what your thoughts/comparisons were to something more traditional like mahogany/rosewood.  On the electric, it is extremely cutting/articulate and a bit on the bright side, but not in a bad way... :D

It's a very hard wood so it is on the bright side. Perhaps somewhere between Rosewood and and Maple. My acoustic Bubbinga L03 is a clean sounding guitar, the wood is very nice to look at and smells like vanilla pudding, it really does!
