Biggest surprise - and a pleasant one - has been the volume from the smaller box. Other than some scratches on the pick guard and a dimple on the rosewood binding, it looks new. The tone, the balance, the articulation, not too bright - all a tribute to JCL's craftsmanship. And finally can distinguish between flamed and quilted.  :thumbsup

A stunning example of flame maple (what we used to refer to as "tiger maple").

Gorgeous! I love the binding!! I keep medium strings on my parlor and the tone is wonderful.

Congrats! You should take a listen to "Parlor Guitar Ten Songs Arranged for Solo Guitar" as it's recorded on a maple Larrivee parlor:

I have the book/cd. Great stuff!

These Flamed Maple Larrivee Parlors are versatile little guitars and great for travel and weekend car trips. They are also an economical way to utilize smaller pieces of quality and will allow you to experiment with a 12 fret, short scale neck.

Enjoy it.
