Any Tracy Grammer fans out there? I fell in love with her with her work with the late, great Dave Carter but I've been listening to her solo work especially Book Of Sparrows and now Low Tide. Wonderful stuff! This is all I could find to link. Carter and Grammer were great together.

and some bare bones stuff.

Well, that's a shame. Next to Gillian Welch, Grammer is my second favorite female folk/roots artist. Grammer is much more meditative and spacey, however. Very good voice and also a fine musician on fiddle, mandolin and guitar.
I find it a bit amusing that while she was with Carter, before his death, she sported the boyish, frumpy, librarian look and now is a bit of a babe, you know, for an older gal. :)

Maybe, considering Carter's complicated character, that makes sense.

Nice voice!  I've never heard of Tracy before.  I need to do a deeper dive, thanks for the artist recommendation!

Apparently, she once was a member of Joan Baez's band. You might want to start with her work with Dave Carter. He was an amazing songwriter. Her solo work depends a lot on unissued Carter songs although her own songs and the covers she does are very, very good, as well. She now plays with singer songwriter, multi instrumentalist, Jim Henry. They have a podcast scheduled for the end of the month and do one every month, I believe. All good stuff.  :beer
