Guitar Town 2009 at Copper Mountain - Tommy Emmanuel and others

I was very lucky to see an advertisement for Guitar Town 2009 while visiting Summit County, CO this past weekend.  Huge lineup of guitar gods all weekend long - for FREE.

I nearly had sawdust in my hair from Tommy Emmanuel shredding his axe within 5' from me.

In order from the left:  Pete Huttlinger, a guy from John Jorgenson's band, bass player from John's band, Joe Robinson (up and coming kid extraordinaire), John Jorgenson, Tommy Emmanuel, violinlist from John's band, Laurence Juber

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to chat with any of these guys.  The family was itching to go home and I didn't want to deal with the fallout.  I'll have my eye out for Guitar Town 2010!  Unbelievable guitar music weekend - for free!

What a great event - I totally understand the family thing. I seems that when I find something really interesting, the family tends to feel differently.

Drop a note on the Forum when you find out the line-up for next year. Sounds like a great non-family event!
