K&K Preamp Necessary?

Gotcha, thanks. That's why I try to keep monitors at minumum required levels and also maybe turn them a little sideways so they aren't hitting guitar head-on. The Larrivee's not so bad but the Gallagher goes crazy if it's too loud.  I'll start paying more attention to phase, I mean it only takes a second to check out.
